A Tale of Light and Shadow Update

As I've mentioned recently, my progress with Psion Omega has stopped, and my attention has turned to the Tale series. Up until Friday I was rewriting Tale 2 and then I received the galleys from my editor, Derk. Galleys, for those of you who are like me and had no idea what they were, are the pages of your book w/ a nice interior design. They are to be looked over and marked up. Nowadays, the galleys are done on pdf files instead of paper.

So I've got a couple weeks to blaze through Tale 1 and mark up things and make more changes. As I've told you already, Tale 1 will be somewhat different than what you've already read, if you read Flight from Blithmore. It will introduce the magical system called "The Path" in this book, setting it up for much bigger exploration in the sequel. So, yes, you may want to consider re-purchasing the book when it comes out in September.

Which brings me to my next point. The release date of A Tale of Light and Shadow is no longer 7-29, but 9-9. This will give us more time to have the book ready and the marketing more underway when it's released. On the bright side, the cover, done by Brandon Dorman, is fantastic! I can't wait to show you all. Not sure when that will happen, but soon.

Also be looking ahead to the release of the short story "The Fool and the Dragonox" in the next several weeks. Lots of exciting things coming!

Thank you for the books that you have published. I have enjoyed them, and my little Sister has fallen into love with reading because of the "Tale of Light and Shadow" series.

Myself and my Sister are wondering if you are going to write another book. If you cannot publish your draft, we would love to read it via pdf.

I read the first two books of the Light and Shadow series. Having left all of the characters in peril leaves such suspense..........and want of #3. Is there any new information as to when #3 will be released? I can't wait!!!!! When #3 comes, I"ll reread #1 and #2 first. You are a gifted author. Thanks for sharing your talents.

I read the first two books and loved them. Book two left me seeking out book number three before I realized there might not be another one. Just like everyone else that has been captivated by this series, I can’t wait to hear how it continues, even if it doesn’t get published as a book. It’s a great series by a great author! Thanks for sharing your gift, and I hope you are able to finish it in one way or another.

I’m a very busy mom of 5 and run a dance studio. My decompress is to read. I loved your Tale of Light and Shadow books. I was having a hard time fitting in time to read so I would read while blow drying my hair. Haha! Now I’m deviates that there might not be a 3rd book. It sounds like there are many of us dying for some closure. We have followed every intense moment and now long for more. Totally dying here-left hanging. Brutal!

Thank you for writing what I now consider one of my favorite series. I have read hundreds of books, and the mix of romance, magic, and action makes the book a page turner to the end, which is a cliffhanger. I am aware that the book has not become as popular as expected, but something must be done, the plot winds in so many ways, leaving not just one sides characters in struggle, but their enemies, the balance of light and shadow is perfect, allowing a mature read, but not in a way that prohibits the reader from feeling that they can continue. It was a great read and anxiously await an ending, hoping that I won't have to wait too long.

I read the tales of Neverak a long time ago, when they were first published. And I loved them! I have been waiting for many years for the third book to be published. It hurts to not know what happens to these beloved characters. Is there any way for me, and others, to help you get this third book published? :)

I bought the books a year ago and just got around to reading them. I could not put the first book down. I am just finishing the second and was looking into buying vol. 3 when I realized it was never published/finished. Is there any new information about the possibility of this story being finished?

I just got done with book two and really liked books 1 and 2! Sadly, when I went to look for book 3 I found out there wasn't one. I just want to add my vote for Book 3 being published! I want to know what happens to everyone! Please finish/publish Book 3 and don't just leave is hanging! You did a great job getting us invested in the characters stories! We would love the satisfaction of hearing how it ends!
