Author's Note:
In no special order, these books more than any other have shaped my life and my writing. As you can see, I have quite an eclectic taste in books. Before you scoff at the inclusion of any book in particular, especially the religious texts, please note that it is not nor will it ever be my intent to preach my religion in a book. On the other hand, I believe spirituality is an under-discussed topic in fiction because it's such a sensitive subject, and yet it's one of the most precious topics to all of us. Why would it not be important to characters? Should it be a taboo in fiction? Can a character believably converse about sports but not religion? If you wish to understand more about my view of literature, the world, and our relationship to each other as human beings, I would recommend starting with this list.
T.S. Eliot once said, "Good authors borrow. Great authors steal." I can't be certain how much of my own "inspiration" falls into either category, but you will certainly see elements from these books in Psion Beta and other books I write. And, whatever is true, I am proud of the story I have given you, Fellow Bookworm, and hope you enjoy it. I also hope you find time to peruse these excellent titles. I look forward to hearing from you.
